Our Mission
We follow the Great Commission – planting churches that plant new churches, all to send more missionaries out into other nations outside of Ukraine.
ABOUT
Our Association of Missionary Churches
Established in January 2022, we are a passionate community dedicated to spreading the message of faith and supporting missionary service.
Our churches operate from Faith Pledge Funds, separate from the church treasury, to raise money for missionary ministries. We empower individuals to donate and help young people and ministers embrace the missionary vision.
As an Evangelical Christian association, we align closely with Baptist beliefs. Despite the challenges posed by the war and occupation in Ukraine, we have persevered. While we lost some churches and mission points, we are grateful for new outlets emerging as ministers from eastern Ukraine relocate.
Currently, our association consists of 23 churches spread across different cities in Ukraine, serving over 1500 people. We eagerly anticipate the return of many believers who left during the war. Together we are the Light for Ukraine Association, serving over 1500 people in Ukraine.
Light for Ukraine Ministers
Our dedicated pastors in the association have displayed unwavering commitment amidst challenging circumstances. While some have remained in their cities, continuing their ministry work, others have responded to the war by planting new churches in different locations.
These new churches serve as a beacon of hope for refugees and those impacted by the conflict. Through compassionate outreach efforts, such as providing food packages, these churches create opportunities for people to visit, hear the gospel, repent, and join the community. Bible studies and Sunday worship services nurture spiritual growth and fellowship.
Our pastors in the eastern region, where Russia invaded and was pushed back, chose to stay and serve, are experiencing the profound blessing of God. When we visit them, bringing boxes of food to assist the needy and supporting their ministry, we witness the tangible impact of God's favor upon them. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of those affected by the war.
Partnerships
Join us in our mission to meet the needs of people! We work closely with esteemed partners who share our passion for making a difference.
In America, we work hand-in-hand with Light for Ukraine, led by dedicated ministers, Ben Hinson, Shae Hinson, John Wright, Tim Heard, and Alex Correa. Additionally, we have a strong partnership with the Christian Missionary Alliance, based in Columbus, Ohio. Their humanitarian mission, KAMA, provides invaluable support for our ministry projects.
Our cooperation extends internationally, as we join forces with Light Mission East in Kortal, Germany. Together, we support various initiatives and publish Ukrainian literature for evangelization. You can help us serve and bring the hope of the Gospel to communities in need.
Associational Training:
We prioritize the training and equipping of our pastors, ministers, and church planters. Our comprehensive training programs cater to various areas of ministry development. One of our notable programs is M4, which focuses specifically on church planting training. Twice a year, we conduct seminars taught by a specialist from the New Church Planting Alliance, empowering our participants with valuable insights and expertise.
We also offer specialized training for Teen and Youth Ministries Leaders, recognizing the importance of nurturing the younger generation in their faith journeys. Additionally, we conduct biannual training sessions for Pastoral Care ministers who work with individuals who have experienced trauma, providing them with the necessary skills to offer compassionate support.
Across all our training programs, our overarching vision is to cultivate Formed Missionary Churches. These churches possess the ability to give rise to new congregations and to send and support missionaries to other countries. We firmly believe in the potential of every church member to become a minister and actively engage in ministry based on their spiritual gifts. Embracing a diverse range of ministers enables us to reach a broader audience. A shining example is our church, Light for Ukraine in Kiev, which has 55 members but boasts an impressive team of 42 ministers at different levels. Together, we are empowering leaders and ministers within our churches to make a lasting impact.
